Scorpions é uma banda de rock alemã formada em 1965 em Hannover por Rudolf Schenker. Desde o início da banda, seu estilo musical variou de hard rock a heavy metal. [4] [5] A formação de 1978 a 1992 foi a encarnação de maior sucesso do grupo, incluindo Klaus Meine (vocal), Rudolf Schenker (guitarra rítmica), Matthias Jabs (guitarra), Francis Buchholz (baixo) e Herman Rarebell (bateria). O único membro contínuo da banda foi Schenker, embora Meine tenha aparecido em todos os álbuns de estúdio do Scorpions, enquanto o Jabs é um membro consistente desde 1979, e o baixista Paweł Mąciwoda e o baterista Mikkey Dee estão na banda desde 2003 e 2016, respectivamente.
Em meados da década de 1970, com o guitarrista Uli Jon Roth fazendo parte da formação, a música dos Scorpions foi definida como hard rock. [2] [3] Após a partida de Roth em 1978 e a breve reunião com o irmão de Schenker, Michael, Matthias Jabs se juntou e, seguindo a orientação do produtor Dieter Dierks, os Scorpions mudaram seu som para hard rock / heavy metal, misturado com baladas de rock. Ao longo dos anos 80, o grupo recebeu críticas positivas e elogios da crítica musical e obteve sucesso comercial com os álbuns Animal Magnetism (1980), Blackout (1982), Love at First Sting (1984), a gravação ao vivo World Wide Live (1985) , Savage Amusement (1988) e Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads (1989), que é o álbum de compilação mais vendido.

O décimo primeiro álbum de estúdio de Scorpions, Crazy World (1990) também foi bem recebido [8] e incluiu a música "Wind of Change", um hino simbólico das mudanças políticas na Europa Oriental no final dos anos 80 e início dos anos 90 e a queda do muro de Berlim. É um dos singles mais vendidos no mundo, com mais de quatorze milhões de cópias vendidas.  Os escorpiões venderam mais de 110 milhões de registros no total.  Eles lançaram 18 álbuns de estúdio, 27 álbuns de compilação e 74 singles. Seis de seus singles alcançaram o número um nas paradas em diferentes países. Seus álbuns, singles, compilações e lançamentos em vídeo alcançaram o status ouro, platina e multi-platina 200 vezes em diferentes países.
A Rolling Stone descreveu os Scorpions como "os heróis do heavy metal" , e a MTV os chamou de "Embaixadores do Rock". A banda influenciou vários atos como Guns N 'Roses,  Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard,Metallica,  Megadeth, [18] Testamento ,  Ratt, Skid Row,Cinderela,  Spinal Tap, [21] WASP,  Saxon,  Doro,  Helloween, Rochas de Hanói, e Yngwie Malmsteen.  Os Scorpions foram classificados em número 46 no programa de Maiores Artistas de Hard Rock do VH1, [26] com "Rock You Like a Hurricane" no número 18 da lista de 100 Maiores Músicas de Hard Rock do VH1. [27] "Still Loving You" ficou em 22º lugar entre as maiores baladas. Eles receberam prêmios de prestígio, como três World Music Awards, uma estrela no muro do Hollywood Rock e uma presença na exposição permanente do Hall da Fama do Rock and Roll. Em 2015, o grupo comemorou seu 50º aniversário. [

        A maioria das pessoas que não conhece a banda Scorpions provavelmente conhece o clássico Wind of change ,eu também conheci a banda através dessa música,mas se acalme que eu sei que o Scorpions é bem maior que isso.

A banda alemã por mais de 1 ano ficou sem nome. Scorpions tem uma pegada heavy metal e hard rock...gosto muito do cd crazy world ,um cd da porra...porém têm alguns cd´s ruins que por experiência própria escutei e não gostei. mas os cd´s na sua maioria são excelentes. Se a maioria dos cd´s são excelentes e a banda é foda o que você está esperando para baixar os cd´s, nascer dente em galinha é?
